Our Specialties
Osteopathy is distinctive in recognising that daily, we absorb stress from many sources and osteopaths can use their hands to reduce that strain and make you feel well again.
If it hurts and you are human, we can probably help. We know first-hand how pain can be debilitating and depressing, and we are fanatical about helping people. Over the last 25 years, we have been helping people across Bolton, Manchester, and Greater Manchester recover from their pain and discomfort including back pain, neck pain, sciatica, headaches, arthritis pain, joint pains, muscle spasms, and generalised aches and pains. Almost everybody makes some positive progress, most people experience dramatic improvements in their well-being within 3-6 sessions.
Injury
We have over 25 years of experience helping people recover from minor sports injuries and workplace injuries. Your injury may be very recent or have happened a long time ago, but we can almost always find a way to make you feel more comfortable. We use evidence-based techniques including soft tissue manipulation, joint mobilisation, and targeted rehabilitation exercises that might be surprising but are based on extensive scientific research and known to be effective. Treatment for acute injuries typically requires 6-8 sessions over 5-8 weeks.
Sport-Related
You don’t need to be a professional athlete to hurt yourself doing sports, but as we regularly help elite sports people including Premier League footballers, international athletes, and professional golfers recover from their injuries, we can also help you. Everybody is treated as if their sport is their career because we are passionate about helping you get back to doing the things you love most. We treat minor sports injuries including tennis elbow, shoulder pain, and muscle spasms related to athletic activity.
Rehabilitation
Passive rehabilitation is normally the first step to get rid of your pain. On average, this takes 6-10 sessions over 3-4 months. To maintain good health and prevent injuries returning, we often recommend follow-up active rehabilitation and movement repatterning. Movement repatterning rehabilitation treatments come in courses of 6, 12, or 18 sessions, as it can take 6-8 weeks to retrain the nervous system and change movement patterns. Active rehabilitation includes exercises for core stability, postural correction, and functional movement training.

Cranial Osteopathy
Despite the name, ‘cranial’ treatment is not just about the head. We use gentle techniques across the whole body to reduce pain, improve movement, and stimulate circulation. Cranial osteopathy is a gentle treatment suitable for children and babies. Babies’ skeletons are softer than an adult’s and osteopaths therefore use gentler techniques such as cranial osteopathy. Gentle manipulation can help soothe and relax your baby. Cranial osteopathic patients range from children to older people to pregnant women. Some people prefer this style of treatment as it uses extremely gentle pressure and can be better suited to the very young, very fragile, and sensitive people. Sessions for babies and children are 30 minutes (from £59).

Acupuncture
Acupuncture works with your body, not against it – and in Rose’s hands, it becomes a genuinely powerful tool for lasting change. Rose combines her osteopathic training with acupuncture to treat the whole person, not just the symptom, at our Bolton and Manchester clinics. The research backs this up: a landmark meta-analysis of 20,000 chronic pain patients confirmed that acupuncture delivers real, lasting relief for back pain, neck pain, osteoarthritis, and headache. Studies also show meaningful improvements in sleep quality, and a review of 52 systematic reviews found acupuncture beneficial for anxiety, depression, and chronic pain. Most people leave their sessions feeling noticeably lighter.
